The general objective of this study was to measure the impact on the work environment with the implementation of telecommuting among the administrative staff of the company Solgas S.A. from the year 2020 to the year 2023. The research methodology is basic, descriptive with a correlational design between the variables work environment and telecommuting. At the same time, it was non-experimental and of a cross-sectional nature. Under a quantitative approach focused on collecting data through survey as a technique and questionnaire as an instrument, which was developed according to the dimensions related to our variables with theoretical support applying the Likert scale. From a population of 350 administrative telecommuters, a sample of 184 was obtained using the formula for the respective sample. Likewise, the results showed a positive impact on the work environment of the administrative staff with the implementation of telecommuting in the company Solgas, with a degree of correlation between the variables with the Spearman’s Rho coefficient (0.353, p=0,05), revealing a moderate positive correlation. Regarding the dimension of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) use, it obtained a very strong positive correlation (0.806, p= 0,05), as well as the dimension work-life balance (0.713, p= 0,05) reveals a considerable positive correlation, while the dimensions leadership (0.152, p= 0,05), effective communication (0.388, p= 0,05), and change management (0.231, p= 0,05) reveal a moderate positive correlation. Regarding the results obtained from the survey, regarding the dimension of ICT use, we can conclude that 95 % of the total number of respondents responded positively (totally agree and/or agree), that is, that there is influence in the implementation of telecommuting, then 97 % gave a positive opinion that there is a work-life balance, while 97 % think that there is influence from leadership, 95 % responded that there is influence from effective communication, while 97 % believe there is influence from change management. These findings demonstrate not only the viability of telecommuting as a work modality, but also its ability to promote a more rewarding work environment positively impacting the workplace climate. While this study shows the successful case of telecommuting implementation at Solgas, it also serves as a reference for future research and to achieve its sustainability over time.
