This research project is structured in 4 main chapters which are: Background, Organizational Problems, Engineering Proposal and Validation of the proposal. The objective of this work is increase the availability of injection machinery in an organization in the school supplies sector through two pillars of the Total Productive Management (TPM) philosophy. From a root cause analysis using the tree diagram method, it was found that the main causes are stops due to mechanical breakdowns, stop due to electronic failures and stop due to mechanical failures. To reduce downtime due to breakdowns and electronic failures, the use of autonomous maintenance is proposed. On the other hand, for stops due to mechanical failures, the use of autonomous maintenance is proposed. To do this, a system design is proposed using two pillars of the TPM with the aim of increasing the availability of injection machinery in the company. In conclusion, with the established design we can validate that the company's problems are met.
