This research aims to assess how the implementation of a waste control and calculation model impacts the financial outcomes of Anroplastic S.A. To achieve this, financial results, financial statements, and economic indicators were compared before and after implementing the Lean Six Sigma methodology for waste calculation. The work is divided into three main sections. The first chapter addresses the issue by detailing the company's general context and describing the current methodology used to identify waste. The second chapter is divided into two parts: a review of the theoretical framework, which includes research on how waste affects a company's financial outcomes; the key concepts necessary to understand the economic terms used, and the applied methodological approach. Furthermore, the second part focus on studying and formulating two alternatives to accurately calculate waste in the two production phases of the company (extrusion and sealing). In the final chapter, both proposals are compared and one is selected, supported by arguments. Furthermore, the feasibility of implementing the Lean Six Sigma model in the organization is assessed. Finally, the results obtained after its application and the variations in the resulting waste are discussed.
