This instrumental design research aimed to determine the psychometric properties of the Adult Self-Transcendence Inventory (ASTI) in a Peruvian context. The Satisfaction with Life Scale was applied. For evidence of internal structure validity, a Confirmatory Factor Analysis was conducted on the data from a sample of adults aged 60 to 93 years. Results were favourable for the two-dimensional structure (x2 = 134, gl = 87, CFI = .910, TLI = .89, RMSEA = .052, SRMR = .062); as well as for internal consistency for the dimensions of self-transcendence (ω = .71) and alignment (ω = .71). As for validity based on other variables, they are statistically significantly and moderately related to the life satisfaction scale, being negative with the self-transcendence dimension (r = -.43) and positive with the alignment dimension (r = -.45). It is concluded that the adaptation of the ASTI is a measure with adequate psychometric properties for the assessment of self-transcendence in the Peruvian context.
