Currently, agriculture represents one of the main economic activities for Peru, and is the main driving force according to the MEF, due to the microclimates in the country. This year, the agricultural sector represented a growth of 4.9% compared to the previous year in the month of January, reported MINAGRI. This was mainly due to the fact that Peruvian agro-export companies chose to implement improvements in their production process chain, in order to increase their export performance. For this reason, the purpose of this research is to determine the impact of process innovation carried out by private mandarin exporting companies of tariff item 0805.21.00.00 in Peru and its relationship with export performance during the period 2018 - 2022. The approach used was mixed with a cross-sectional non-experimental design with a correlational scope. To do this, 12 interviews were conducted with research experts and analyzed using the Atlas Ti tool for the qualitative approach. Likewise, for the quantitative approach, an online Likert-scale survey was carried out with 19 mandarin agro-exporting companies in Peru, which was subsequently analyzed using the SPSS statistical tool. Finally, to evaluate the variables, the Rho Spearman statistical coefficient was applied and it was obtained that the process innovation variable does have a relationship with the export performance of private agro-exporting companies of fresh mandarin from Peru during the period 2018-2022.
