This research work proposes the improvement of clay soils at the subgrade level by adding 4% lime plus different percentages of bottom ash from brick kilns. The study area is the neighborhood road named Route CU-1297 located in the district of San Jerónimo, department of Cusco. The main objective of the research is to determine the best addition of 4% lime plus a percentage of bottom ash from brickworks to ensure a significant increase in the bearing capacity of the subgrade of said road. For this, the granulometry tests were carried out by means of sieving, the Atterberg limits, modified Proctor and California Bearing Ratio (CBR) for samples in the natural state. Likewise, the same tests were carried out for samples of the soil improved with 4% lime plus 15%, 20% and 25% of bottom ash from brick kilns. In addition, mineralogical analysis by X-ray diffraction and X-ray fluorescence chemical analysis were performed for clayey soil and bottom ash from brick kilns.
