The textile industry in Peru is one of the sectors that provides the highest percentage of employment in the country, and influences 11.8% of industrial GDP. In this work, the problem of the increase in rejections due to quality problems in a textile company is exposed. In 2022, there was a production of 5,169,720.00 Kg. of which 19% of the total production was rejected due to quality problems. It was detected that the highest percentage of rejections was in the dyeing and finishing area, generating a large loss. A quantitative study of production was carried out and two main causes of rejection were detected. In order to reduce the percentage of these causes, an implementation model with the Lean Manufacturing philosophy is proposed, combining 5S tools and standardized work in the aforementioned areas. Implementation will have 2 phases. The implementation was validated using the arena software, resulting in a 7% reduction in rejections after implementation. The present work identified a major quality problem in a Peruvian textile company and proposed a solution based on Lean Manufacturing, which resulted in a significant reduction in rejections. This implementation has a positive impact on the efficiency and profitability of the company, which is relevant given the importance of the textile industry in the country.
