The mining sector plays a fundamental role in the Peruvian economy, representing 13.4% of the country's GDP. This means that the mining sector contributed S/ 166,000 million to the Peruvian GDP, which accounts for 10% of tax revenues. Furthermore, the introduction of new equipment for copper extraction in 2023 is expected, with an estimated production of 500 tons. This projected expansion has motivated mining companies to focus on improving their logistical efficiency in order to raise their service standards. This research focuses on the analysis of the supply process of a local mining company, identifying its main challenge as the low perfect delivery rate of raw materials, caused by low stock levels and delivery material non-compliance.The central issue lies in the urgent need to improve the supply process, which is addressed through the implementation of inventory management (EOQ and ABC classification system) and the 5S methodology. The main objective of this initiative is to improve OTIF by 26%, which will result in a significant reduction in errors in purchase order generation and unproductive lead times in the supply process. This will enable the company to maintain adequate inventory levels and ensure the timely delivery of materials necessary for its operation, contributing to the sustainable development of the mining sector in Peru.
