Nowadays, heavy machinery is very important for a profitable and punctual construction, Peru is a country that has the potential of success for construction and mining machineries. That is why companies are always looking for machinery with the sole purpose of reducing their time and all the benefits that come with it. This work begins with the purpose of improving the process of enlistment of machinery in the area of Construction Services of a heavy machinery trading company recognized worldwide, which presents the delay in the delivery of the enlisted machinery to customers. The low level of On Time Delivery (OTD) is 52.02%, which indicates that, in the current evaluation, it is below the 70% established by the company. This leads to customer dissatisfaction. The study revealed that the problem of the low level of on-time delivery is due to two main causes which are unproductive times and unscheduled stops, for this reason the improvement was made by implementing tools such as Kaizen, Poka Yoke, Standardization of work, TPM - Pillar focused improvement and TPM - Pillar team management, to address these causes and improve efficiency and quality in the process. Finally, by applying the Lean Manufacturing solution model, we were able to reduce Unproductive Time by 8.09% and Unscheduled Downtime by 12.00%, having as a direct impact an increase of 26.98% in On Time Delivery (OTD).
