This study has the purpose of reducing vehicular conflicts along the entire stretch from the Ollantaytambo Plaza to the train station because it is a very narrow road and is located within the area considered a World Heritage Site, which is protected by the INC (National Institute of Culture) and other national or international entities. It is proposed to reduce the problem by implementing multimodal transportation for visitors and users in general between the Ollantaytambo district plaza and the train station on Ferrocarril Avenue through the priority use of motorcycle cabs. The evaluation had a microscopic approach, since the area was delimited in a section (from the town square to the train station) where data was collected, such as pedestrian and vehicular gauging, the overlapping of vehicular and pedestrian activity at the same time, the dimensions of the road under study and how vehicle parking caused the main conflicts. The required parameters and data were obtained through several field visits, easy delivery of documents and information by the municipality of Ollantaytambo and aerial data collection with a drone. With the data obtained, a micro simulation model was developed with Vissim9 software. The main objective of the construction of the micro-simulation model was to represent the problem. For this purpose, the route and the behavior of pedestrians, motorcycle cabs, vehicles and the main points of conflict had to be modeled.
