This research refers to the analysis and structural design of a reinforced concrete building for multifamily housing. The project extends over an approximate area of 207 m2 that consists of 8 floors, a semi-basement and two basements, with parking lots in the 2 basements, at the same time with the particularity of having a vehicular entrance platform. The height of the basements and semi-basement are between 2.70 m on the first floor and 2.50 m on the upper floors, with a total height of 25 m. On the other hand, the apartments are of duplex and flat typology, making a total of 17 apartments. The structural approach is based on experiences and criteria obtained in similar projects. Initially, the architectural design is considered, developing the structuring and pre-dimensioning of the building, in this way projecting the design in search of symmetry between them, seeking to minimize or cancel irregularities with a system composed of frames, plates and slabs. After that, perform the modeling in the ETABS engineering program to carry out the earthquake resistance analysis and structural analysis, thus verifying the controls according to the E.030 earthquake resistance standard. In addition, obtain the static and dynamic analysis consequently of the shears of the base. Finally, the plans of the different structural elements that constitute the building are prepared, prioritizing the concepts obtained from the standard, as well as the responsible and professional criteria of the entire design.
