The objective of this study is to determine between two types of formwork materials, which are metal and aluminum, which of these two is the most efficient in relation to formwork time. The hypothesis raised by the authors indicates that aluminum formwork is the most time-efficient compared to metal formwork. The type of research that has been carried out is field research because it has been carried out through visits to two multi-family buildings projects in which metal and aluminum formwork is used, in order to carry out the comparative analysis on which the research focuses. information obtained in the field. After having carried out the comparative analysis between both types of formwork, it was determined that the aluminum formwork is more efficient over time with an average performance of 21.99 m2/day per operator while the metal formwork was obtained an average performance of 17.77 m2/day per operator. Additionally, in sectors of similar footage, a time of 3 hours was obtained for forming vertical elements in aluminum formwork and a time of 3.5 hours with metal formwork. Therefore, it is concluded that the proposed hypothesis is correct after completing the study.
