Bank reconciliation is a crucial process that integrates the treasury and accounting areas, addressing operational and financial activities of the company, such as collections, payments and investments. The main objective of this project is to improve the efficiency and accuracy of bank reconciliation by implementing robotic process automation (RPA), this technology uses software bots (Robot) to automate repetitive rules-based tasks and processes. For the implementation of this project, the analysis and design of the processes was carried out to capture the business rules of each banking entity (seven in total), the Automation Anywhere software was used with which the Bots that achieve automation were developed. Tests were carried out to ensure that the information load correctly reached the SAP ERP and end users were also trained to correctly identify the notifications sent by the Bots. Finally, the transition to the productive environments was made, leaving the Bots programmed in their respective schedules. With the implementation, manual work was reduced on average by 50% according to users, allowing them to focus on more strategic and higher value-added activities.
