Objective: The purpose of this report is to evaluate the scour in the Chingana river KM 318 in the department of Loreto using IBER hydraulic simulation, as well as to propose recommendations for the protection of the river banks, for which the data provided by the company MJ & Asociados Water Resources Consulting E.I.R.L., from which the case study is developed. Method: The description of the IBER software used, the development of the hydraulic simulation of the Chingana River for a return period of 100, 200 and 500 years, as well as the determination of the depth of scour in the Chingana River in IBER, are carried out. Results: The results obtained were the main source for the recommendations proposed as protection of the river banks, since the scope and deadline were met, and the main functional structures for the case study have also been proposed. Conclusions: The report concludes by describing the recommendations for the work to be carried out in the section under intervention, as well as the influence of these structures as an improvement for the Chingana River. The lessons learned for future projects were also described.
