This sufficiency report addresses the need of a research-focused NGO facing the challenge of upgrading its technological infrastructure to meet the growing demands of its operations. The replacement of the outdated and inefficient systems they currently use has become imperative. These systems require high energy consumption due to the large number of involved devices, and their lack of scalability and business continuity is hindering their growth. The NGO, with headquarters in Lima and Callao, plans to expand nationally. However, its current IT infrastructure is at 90% of its capacity, posing a significant obstacle to expansion. The lack of a cabinet cooling solution and dependence on a single 30MB link for internet access exacerbate the problem. The NGO faces a lack of electrical independence and complex management due to the diversity of platforms. The proposed project aims to design a Hyperconverged Infrastructure-based Data Center, which will provide greater processing capacity, reduce energy consumption, and improve the flexibility and scalability of IT resources. Its implementation will enable the NGO to meet its growing research and service demands while reducing costs and improving its image. The importance of this upgrade lies in its ability to drive growth and efficiency, positioning it better to fulfill its mission of stimulating debate and contributing to the development of the country and Latin America.
