The Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation - MIDAGRI, is a public organization that develops strategies regarding the sustainable development of agriculture in Perú in the medium and long term. The valuable information it manages is centralized in a new headquarters, a dedicated space capable of housing the necessary infrastructure to support the operations required of it. However, keep your data center with a high level of availability as the multiple day-to-day operations and demands result in high energy consumption. High energy consumption originates from a high operational demand to which the air conditioning equipment is subjected to try to maintain the ideal temperature and humidity conditions within the room. The purpose of this project is to design an air conditioning system using the cold aisle confinement technique, capable of improving the energy efficiency to the data center of Ministerio de Desarrollo Agrario y Riego, based on the ANSI/TIA 942 regulations. According to the measurements and calculations carried out, it is guaranteed that the proposed design is an excellent air conditioning alternative for the entire perimeter of the MIDAGRI data center, since it would keep the equipment and cabinets cooled, isolating the hot and cold air flows and mainly not over demanding air conditioning equipment. Therefore, energy consumption would decrease and a longer useful life and availability of equipment and information would be guaranteed.
