Social adaptation is a construct of great relevance in the field of psychology, since it has an important impact on well-being. For this reason, it is necessary to measure it by means of an instrument with appropriate psychometric properties. For this reason, the present study aimed to carry out a systematic review of the psychometric properties of the SASS in adults. For this purpose, the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews in Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines were taken into account and a search for studies was carried out in databases such as Web of Science, Pubmed, Scopus and Science Direct; and the Google Scholar search engine. The keywords used in the search were: "SASS", "Adaptación social/Social adaptation", "Validación/validation" and "Reliability/reliability". The search was conducted in October 2023 and included articles in English, Spanish, Korean and Turkish. A total of 88 studies were identified, and after the selection process, 8 studies were included for the systematic review, which were evaluated according to the COSMIN criteria. Among the results, it was found that most of the studies performed an exploratory factor analysis to determine construct validity and Cronbach's Alpha to measure internal consistency, reporting appropriate scores. Likewise, it was possible to identify that a low percentage of the studies met the criteria proposed in the COSMIN guide. It is concluded that the psychometric studies found show methodological limitations and require further evidence on their psychometric performance.
