The purpose of this research was to explore the alternatives to improve the logistic efficiency in the purchases of the hardware division in the supply chain area of the Importing Company, hereinafter referred to as "EI". The focus is on identifying strategies/models to optimize supply management, reduce costs and improve customer satisfaction, thus contributing to the success and competitiveness of the company in this sector. The approach used in this research is qualitative with an exploratory scope; this approach is based on understanding the daily and complex realities, schematizing them and processing the research beyond just specifying and measuring them. Thus, the instrument to be used are semi-structured interviews with experts in supply chain, in order to capture an in-depth understanding of the experiences of the interviewees. During the analysis of the background according to the literature review, three models of action were identified to counteract the problem. The interviews with the experts allowed us to generate a holistic understanding in the application of the models, thus understanding the impact that the organizational culture can have within the importing company. Therefore, it is concluded that the most appropriate model for the importing company is the implementation of the S&OP methodology, which optimally responds to the current needs of the Importing Company.
