There are numerous investigations on the psychological aspects related to the experience of flow in sport. However, the number of works on this subject in ballet dancers is scarcer. Therefore, this study aims to explore the qualitative experience of flow of 10 ballet dancers who practice it as a hobby, from different schools in Metropolitan Lima, Perú. The study uses a descriptive phenomenological analysis, where through the semi-structured interview it was possible to interview 10 participants with an age between 20 and 30 years, based on different topics of interest oriented to their flow experience. From this, the results indicated that the participants expressed themselves through the use of metaphors, emphasizing the internalization of music when dancing, and giving importance to being in the "here and now" when they carried out this activity. Also, emphasis is placed on positive emotions and self-confidence when dancing, together with the influence of the environment so that the flow experience occurs. Finally, it is concluded that this experience manifested to be unique and individual, in each participant, where they describe it as a state that allows them to forget about everything external, concentrating solely on the dance.
