The following research centers on the design and implementation of a Project Management Office (PMO) for a transnational construction company. The main objective of this office is to serve as a project management support office through the standardization of processes including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling and closing. This will ensure the quality of our projects and generate trust for our internal and external customers. It will also serve as a support office for the planning and execution of ongoing projects, generating value through knowledge management. After a thorough diagnosis of the company, we were able to determine its weaknesses and strengths. The design was done using Value Ring methodology and after a cross examination between its weaknesses and strengths, along with Value Ring's predetermined functions, we successfully defined five functions for the PMO. We were also able to present a financial justification for the implementation and explain how investing in the creation of this PMO will improve the company's economic results.
