There are external factors that generate uncertainty and alter the demand for products within supply chains. To prevent such disruptions from affecting the business, it is helpful to obtain big data insights. The management of said data is executed efficiently by information technologies. Considering this, it is intended to analyze the influence of information technologies in demand planning of companies importing products for mass consumption between the years 2017 and 2021. Regarding the methodology, a quantitative approach was used with a design non-experimental and a correlational scope. Likewise, for the validation of the instrument to be applied, we had the support of 4 experts with experience in the subject and met with 34 decision makers (bosses, managers or directors) in mass consumption companies. After applying the Rho Spearman confirmation coefficient, the result was 0.366, which indicates that there is a positive and low relationship between the variables (demand planning and information technologies).
