This thesis pertains to the proposal how Tornillo, Oak and Pine wood can be used as the framework in single-family housing structure in Lima. Based on the laboratory analysis studying its mechanical, ecological, and economic characteristics, this thesis also depicts how Tornillo, Oak and Pine wood be of help for single-family housing structure. The analysis gives a different perspective: it also contemplates the comparison with conventional systems and the importance of the reuse of the formwork; in this case that of the different woods. On a similar front, we can visualize the advantages that can be derived in single-family housing. The advantages can be obtained from the state programs as those provide benefits to construct homes with materials that may be reused. There is an upward inclination around the globe to care of the environment. Hence the environmentalists are trying to use materials that generate the least impact. The usage of correct wood species can contribute to reduced deforestation, damage to ecosystems and global warming.
