This research document aims to analyze whether the main social programs in Perú are relevant in primary basic educational performance from 2009 to 2018. A “panel data” model is used by considering the results of the Census Evaluation of Students test in 191 provinces of the country. The results show that the relevant programs for academic performance in both Mathematics and Reading were the child feeding program Qali Warma, the cash transfer program for adults in extreme poverty Pensión 65 and the child care program Cuna Más, possibly due to its focus, complementarity and objective. On the other hand, data are not consistent with an effect of the feeding programs Vaso de leche, Comedores Populares, or the conditional cash transfer program Juntos.
