In the world, citizen mobilizations are finding in social networks a protected medium for expressions of counter-power. Platforms like Facebook Live are being used to engage and decentralize contentious collective actions like protests. On the occasion of the marches against the government of Manuel Merino in 2020, the objective of this study was to analyze the interaction of the audience in live broadcasts on Facebook Live during these demonstrations. This research studied the collective identity generated in the viewers, through the discursive analysis of the interactions, identified the social emotions present among the audience and allowed to shed light on the use of Facebook Live to promote collective actions. It was concluded that the behavior of the audience was developed based on the collective identity generated from the broadcasts, motivated by the transit of shared social emotions. Finally, it is revealed how Facebook Live made it possible to support the 2020 mobilizations.
