This research paper aims to determine whether changes in the minimum living wage established by the Peruvian government create effects on the country's informal employment. The analysis is based on the period 2017-2019, for which data from the Instituto Nacional de Estadística e Informatica by the INEI is used. The analysis methodology was the binary logit model. The results found were that the increase in the minimum wage has a negative effect on those workers in economic sectors who are receiving a salary below the average salary of the sector, are living in the rural sector, have fewer years of study and are in a range of 18-35 years.
