Introduction: Burnout Syndrome (BOS) is a major problem that affects health professionals and students worldwide. It’s characterized by a low personal job satisfaction, a high amount of emotional exhaustivo One of the careers where the highest level of stress is present is in the career of Medicine where students show a higher demand. Stress in this career is constant and even increases as students progress in their training, becoming more acute when they do their internship Objective: To determine the prevalence of Burnout Syndrome in human medicine interns at the Centro Médico Naval “Cirujano Mayor Santiago Távara” in 2024. Material and Methods: A cross-sectional study will be conducted in Human Medicine Interns at the Hospital Centro Medico Naval in 2024 (n=80) using two questionnaires, the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) scale and another on sociodemographic characteristics. Conclusions: With the prevalence of SBO in human medicine interns and the associated factors, preventive strategies could be proposed to balance academic training with emotional well-being.
