Objective: To determine the level of job satisfaction of the health personnel of the Clinical Pathology Service of the Cayetano Heredia National Hospital. Materials and methods: This is a cross-sectional and descriptive study, and the study sample consisted of 76 workers of this service. On the other hand, data were collected by means of the validated survey: “Job Satisfaction Scale SL-SPC”. Results: 58% of the 76 respondents stated that they were regularly satisfied with their work. The “Physical and/or material conditions” showed a “Low” level, likewise, in the dimensions “Work benefits and/or remuneration”, “Administrative policies”, “Social relations” and “Relationship with authority” a “Regular” level was obtained, however, in “Personal development” and “Performance of tasks” resulted in a “High” level of satisfaction. On the other hand, for the sociodemographic indicators: age, adults and older adults were regularly satisfied and young people were partially satisfied; gender, both males and females were regularly satisfied; level of education, personnel with a technical degree were partially satisfied, while personnel with a higher degree were regularly satisfied; finally, working condition, appointed workers and CAS were regularly satisfied and service providers (third parties) were partially satisfied. Conclusions: Most of the health personnel reported feeling regularly satisfied with their work. Likewise, for the variable “physical and/or material conditions” it was identified that they showed a “low” level. On the other hand, according to the sociodemographic variables, there was evidence of a “regular” level of satisfaction in adults and older adults, whether female or male, with a higher degree and with the labor condition of appointed and CAS.
