The study aimed to investigate the relationship between the psychological well-being of 326 students and their stress-coping strategies. Among the participants, 83 were female and 243 were male, all over 18 years old, enrolled in a technical institute in Lima. The surveys were conducted during the pandemic in December 2021. The results indicated a correlation between the three stress-coping styles and the dimensions of psychological well-being. The sample was evaluated using the Psychological Well-Being Scale (BIEPS-A) and the Coping Strategies Inventory (COPE), both of which were adapted to the Peruvian context. The main objective revealed a correlation of 0.364, suggesting a moderate relationship between coping styles and the psychological well-being of the students. Additionally, it was found that problem-focused coping styles (rho=0.184) and emotion-focused coping styles (rho=0.157) were directly proportional to the psychological well-being of the students. Moreover, a moderate inverse relationship was observed between maladaptive coping styles and psychological well-being (rho=-0.313; p<0.05).
