Health students who take classes virtually are exposed to musculoskeletal disorders due to having to spend long periods of time sitting and, in many cases, not being able to change position. This, added to an inadequate design of the study area, increases the level of ergonomic risk, thus increasing the possibility of suffering from pain, discomfort and suffering during academic activities. The present work was carried out with the objective of evaluating the relationship between ergonomic risks and musculoskeletal disorders in students who receive classes virtually in a health faculty at a private university in Lima, Peru during the semester 2022-I. Material and methods: The study is of an observational type with a descriptive and cross-sectional design. The population is made up of the total number of students from a health faculty at a private university in Lima, Peru who receive classes virtually during the academic semester 2022-I, taking as a sample those students who decide to participate. For data collection; the technique will be observation and the REBA Method used for ergonomic risk assessment will be applied as an instrument through the analysis of three photographs: frontal with elevation, right and left lateral. Likewise, the Cornell Questionnaire (CMDQ) was used as an instrument for screening and accuracy of the frequency of musculoskeletal disorders. The main results show that the neck is the area with the highest frequency of musculoskeletal disorders (87.5%). On the other hand, the result of the REBA method gave us a value of 2.34(±0.6), which shows a low level of risk mentioning that an intervention may be necessary. Finally, it is concluded that there is no relationship between the frequency of musculoskeletal disorders and ergonomic risk, by calculating the Spearman correlation coefficient (0.3).
