Organ transplantation has high survival rates and quality of life in people with noncommunicable diseases (NCD) such as chronic kidney disease, end-stage liver disease, acute liver failure, end-stage heart failure, among others. Quality of life is the perception of the well-being of the person in relation to the context, culture and is made up of objective and subjective aspects, influenced by personal and environmental factors. The present study aims to analyze the theoretical explanations and results in research on the quality of life in organ transplant recipients that were published between 2016 and 2020. A documentary-type interpretive qualitative analysis was carried out. Among the results, the concept of "quality of life related to health" was identified, which proposes a more precise definition for the phenomenon under study.
