Antecedents: the nursing professional is in charge of the administration of cytostatics, very toxic medications both for people who receive it and for people who do not, therefore, according to the research carried out, they state that working conditions play an important role in the prevention during exposure to these agents, also knowing the level of risk to which the professionals are exposed will be of the utmost importance for the prevention of occupational diseases. Objective: to determine the level of occupational risk in nursing professionals who work in the outpatient chemotherapy service of the National Institute of Neoplastic Diseases, 2020. Material and methods: the present study has a quantitative approach, a descriptive, non-experimental and cross-sectional design. The total population, consisting of 32 nursing professionals who work in the outpatient chemotherapy unit of INEN, was taken into account. The technique was the survey; the instrument was the "Occupational Hazards Questionnaire". The results obtained were processed in a database for later analysis in the statistical program STATA version 16.0. Results: it was shown that the occupational risk presented by the nursing professional who works in the outpatient chemotherapy unit is medium with 84.37%, likewise, for each dimension, the following was obtained: physical risk is medium (59.38%), chemical risk is medium (75%), biological risk is medium (84.38), psychosocial risk is low (65.6%) and ergonomic risk is medium (71.88%).Conclusions: It was evidence that the level of occupational risk presented by the participants is medium.
