--- The purpose of the present study was found alcaloidic with cytotoxic property on the induced colon cancer; for this intention, the presence of alkaloids was evaluated in seven native species of Peru, due to its anti-inflammatory, which were collected in the regions: Amazonas, Cajamarca, Ancash and Lima. The vegetable species that contain alkaloids were surrendered to the cytotoxicity assay in system Tetrapygus Niger’s fertile eggs (sea urchin). The results showed that Melocactus bellavistensis (globular cactus) presented cytotoxic important properties. The Melocactus bellavistensis’s alkaloid (globular cactus) was extracted by chloroform, and was used for the study of antitumor activity and toxicity .The investigation also understood the hematologic, histopathologic and biochemical study. The results were analyzed by means of the analysis of variance there being applied the test of Duncan's multiple comparisons. The study of antitumor activity and toxicity in colon cancer induced for dimethylhydrazine in rates, managing to improve notably the cellular hurt during the development of the cancer. Key words: Melocactus bellavistensis, alkaloid, cytotoxic, dimethylhydrazine, colon cancer, toxicity, antitumor activity.
