--- In the present study the effect of L-glutamine on expression of immunoglobulin A (IgA), TGF-β, IL-4, IL5, IL-6 and IL-10 is determined in the jejunal mucosa baby alpaca. Two groups were formed: the first group of 6 baby’s alpaca was given 3.3mM of L-glutamine per kg body weight, orally; and he repeated at 7 days post first dose. The second group (control) of 7 baby’s alpaca will be supplied phosphate buffered saline o PBS. Three days later, a portion of each breeding jejunum were processed for extracting messenger RNA (mRNA) and performing the reverse transcription (RT) and real time polymerase chain reaction o PCR using specific primers. For relative quantitation of IgA and interleukins 2-∆∆ct Method was used. It was determined that in cells treated with L-glutamine offspring, TGF-β was expressed 3 times (p<0.05), and 18 times IgA (p<0.05) than controls. Expressions of IL-4, IL-5, IL-6 and IL-10 were statistically the same levels in the treated animals and controls. It is concluded that L-glutamine increases expression of IgA and TGF-β improving humoral adaptive immune response of intestinal mucosa in baby alpaca. Key words: Baby Alpaca, Immunoglobulin A, mucosae immunity, Interleukin.
