--- OBJECTIVE: Given the importance widely recognized that the quality of care in providing family planning services is required to analyze the perceived quality of care received by users in the family planning program for its importance in the sexual health of our population, so they chose the “Archbishop Loayza National Hospital“ in the January-February period of 2012, as an institution widely recognized for its ability in providing health services to the community. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A Descriptive Study of Cross Section and on the users' perception about the quality of care provided in family planning services Archbishop Loayza National Hospital in the period January-February 2012, by applying a survey of service users in the presence of the interviewer. We obtained 87 users surveyed who attended the family planning service Archbishop Loayza National Hospital which determined the time taken to receive health services, quality care at the time of the users, the warmth of care received users according to their perception and the degree of user satisfaction with the response of the health service. RESULTS: The study is that 35.6% had a waiting time of more than 60 minutes and 31% had a waiting time of between 31 to 60 minutes, this would also lead to a shorter length care of each patient of between 5 to 10 minutes is 74.7% which is evidence that high percentages think that the waiting time is long by 60.9% of cases, while the length interview 85.1% of patients said that it is acceptable that duration of time. 50.6% of respondents said they were not examined, resolved their doubts was 94.3% and regarding the explanation of what prompted the service of the patient also the percentage is higher with 98.9%. With regard to treatment of evidence is a percentage of 98.9% with respect and discretion to the patient, user privacy with 97.7%, to denote the perception of treatment admissions staff a high percentage of 86.2% stated that treatment was good, another percentage (12.6%) said a deal regularly. Users answer abuse for not having received the attentions with 94.3%, he attended every time you request a consultation with a percentage of 95.4%, with respect to obtaining contraceptives was evident requested a 3, 4% did not obtain these contraceptives, this percentage was not due to the absence of such supplies to be delivered to users, rather it was by circumstances of users. The question was asked if had been taken some recovery in the center of which the majority said that there was no such charge to be evidenced by a 100% majority. CONCLUSIONS: Although people have a favorable perception of the hospital, the waiting time is one of the main factors and the main problem present in the family planning program of the Archbishop Loayza National Hospital, the change in the management of the stories by another service would be a topic of discussion for future studies. -- KEY WORDS: Quality of care, family planning.
