This research thesis “Evaluation of thermal conductivity, physical - mechanical properties brick King Kong 18 holes with added pozzolan Raqchi quarry in different percentages with respect to a traditional brick“, analyzes the behavior of pozzolana in the thermal mass of brick King Kong 18 holes, verifying that the physical properties are modified - mechanical unit masonry. With the addition of pozzolana brick, the thermal conductivity is reduced, resulting in a more thermally insulating material, also the absorption rate and suction is increased, the compressive strength and tensile strength are reduced, but the brick is kept type IV. For testing physical property of thermal conductivity it was prepared electrical equipment ASTM C177-13 based standard, which is used to determine the thermal conductivity of the hollow brick 18 King Kong. With the results found that the physical properties such as suction and absorption are increased, but the mechanical properties such as: the compressive strength and tensile strength are reduced, therefore it is important to carefully regulate the amount of pozzolan global and sieved, added to the ceramic mass unit, it should be noted that our country still does not have a technical standard that regulates the amount of pozzolan added to the brick.
