Research with the objective of describing the effectiveness of virtual counseling in knowledge about breastfeeding in postpartum women. Methodology: Observational, quantitative study, longitudinal research with pre-experimental design. Results: The general characteristics found were age from 19 to 34 years, cohabiting, with secondary education or higher, without prenatal care or less than 4 face-to-face and/or virtual care, the type of delivery that prevailed was vaginal, the effectiveness of counseling virtual in the general knowledge about breastfeeding was medium 60.71% in the pre-test and high in the post-test 82.14%, achieving a significance value of p<0.05; The effectiveness of virtual counseling in knowledge about breastfeeding in the COVID-19 pandemic was low 48.22% in the pre-test and high 82.14% in the post-test with a significance value of p <0.05; the effectiveness of virtual counseling in knowledge about correct breastfeeding techniques was low 46.43% in the pretest and high 85.71% in the posttest with a value of p <0.05; the effectiveness of virtual counseling in knowledge about the benefits of breastfeeding was low 55, 36% in the pretest and high with 91.07% in the posttest, with a significance value of p <0.05. Conclusions: Virtual advice on knowledge about breastfeeding is effective.
