The general objective of this research is to determine the relationship between body image dissatisfaction and attitudes towards food in incoming students at a Private University in Cusco in 2024. This study used a quantitative methodological approach and was framed in a non-experimental, cross-sectional correlational design. The population consisted of 305 male and female students enrolled in a Private University in Cusco in the 2024-II semester, with a maximum age of 20. Data was collected through two main questionnaires: IMAGEN, an assessment of body image dissatisfaction, and the Eating Attitudes Test (EAT-26). The results obtained reveal that there is a highly significant and positive correlation between body image dissatisfaction and attitudes towards food, with a Spearman correlation coefficient (rho=607, p-value=0.000). Therefore, it is affirmed that body image dissatisfaction is significantly related to attitudes towards food in incoming students at a Private University in Cusco in 2024. In conclusion, as body image dissatisfaction increases, so too does the tendency to adopt riskier attitudes towards food, leading to unhealthy eating behaviors. These findings underscore the importance of developing campaigns or programs to promote, prevent, diagnose, and treat body image dissatisfaction and attitudes towards food in different faculties, aiming to foster a positive attitude towards one's own body and self-acceptance, recognizing strengths and qualities, and promoting a healthy and balanced diet among students.
