The economic crisis associated with the COVID-19 pandemic has pushed cash transfer programs back to the top of the political agenda. It revealed that the monetary support systems were fundamental and insufficient. Under this scenario, this research seeks to identify the effect of monetary transfers-vouchers on the patterns of consumption of Non- durable storable, Non-durable non-storable and Durable goods. The research is of an explanatory type, with an applied scope and a non-experimental design. For the analysis, data from the National Household Survey is used, which contains the level of consumption of Non-durable storable, Non-durable non-storable and Durable goods for the years 2020 and 2021. The anonymized list of beneficiaries of COVID-19 bonds available in the Open Data Platform of the Peruvian Government and the time series data by province of COVID- 19 indicators of the Cusco Regional Health Directorate. The main results find that an increase of 100 soles in the voucher generates an additional food consumption of 30 soles for the general sample. Likewise, the heterogeneity analysis has shown that the delivery of the voucher can generate an additional food consumption of up to 48 soles in non-poor households, and keep the consumption of poor households constant (there is no negative shock from COVID-19 for the poor households).
