This study work is entitled: “CULTURAL TOURISM AND ITS RELATIONSHIP WITH THE INCOME OF THE FAMILIES OF THE SOCMA COMMUNITY, OLLANTAYTAMBO DISTRICT, PERIOD 2017 - 2020“, this research aims to determinate if cultural tourism has increased income of Socma families in the period 2017 - 2020, which in turn will determine the contribution of cultural tourism both in purchasing power and in improving the quality of life of Socma families. With respect to its dimensions, it is pointed out that in the family income variable (dependent variable) its dimensions are purchasing power and quality of life; while in the cultural tourism variable (independent variable), its dimensions are social benefits and economic benefits. This research is correlational, with a quantitative approach and a non-experimental design. The results indicate that the general income of families between the periods 2017 - 2020 increased although not in a very significant way, the statistics indicated that the relationship between the two was independent, however in empirical work we can notice a growth between past and current income of The residents of Socma, among them, the majority affirmed that it was thanks to cultural tourism (90.6%) of the same It is also pointed out that cultural tourism did manage to contribute the purchasing power of the Socma families, showing a correlation of 0.451. And also that cultural tourism did improve the quality of life of the families of Socma, Ollantaytambo, showing a correlation of 0.419. Both correlations within an acceptable range according to the Spearman scale.
