Introduction: Burnout syndrome or also called professional burnout syndrome, is considered a risk factor at work, affecting mental health, quality of life and work factors. The current situation, the COVID-19 pandemic brought with it consequences that, added to the current condition of Public Health, aggravated the mental health of health workers. Objective: To determine the factors associated with Burnout Syndrome in health personnel during the COVID-19 pandemic in a Hospital in the Cusco Region, 2021. Methods: Quantitative, observational, descriptive cross-sectional study, the sample was made up of 175 individuals, health personnel from the Alfredo Callo Rodríguez Sicuani Hospital, 2021. The analysis allowed the study of the frequency distribution, the Chi Square parametric test and the Odds odds ratio. Ratio, with a 95% confidence interval with a significance level of p <0.05. Results: The prevalence of Burnout Syndrome was 8%, having the CAS contract / labor regime (P = 0.002, OR = 8, 95% CI = 1.73 - 39.91) and an economic income below 2500 nuevos soles (P = 0.001, OR = 8.86, 95% CI = 1.91 - 40.91), show a statistically significant association and risk of suffering from this disorder. Conclusions: The prevalence of Burnout Syndrome was not as high as other studies during the COVID-19 pandemic, however, there are factors associated with Burnout Syndrome and its dimensions. The data will allow us to formulate preventive, diagnostic and timely treatment strategies in health personnel.
