Background: The cures and procedures during the hospitalization of the burned patient have repercussions not only on their physical condition, but also on the mental sphere, therefore the objective of this research is to determine the effect of cures and / or procedures on resilience and image body of the burned patient during her hospitalization. Method: It is a descriptive, correlational, cross-sectional and quantitative study, the sample is made up of 19 hospitalized patients from the Burns Unit of the Regional Hospital of Cusco, between the ages of 18 to 65 years, of both sexes, without any psychiatric pathology of base. Results: It was obtained that 26.3% were patients between 32-38 years of age, female (57.8%), having burns with an extension of 2% to 5% of body surface, with a full thickness depth (52.6%) and with visibility of the injury by 84.2%. A lower number of healings is associated with a low level of resilience (50%) (p = 0.003), correlating with a greater number of procedures such as surgical cleanings and graft placement imply a higher level of resilience (62.5%) p = 0.001 and (57.1%) p = 0.000 respectively. On the other hand, the greater number of cures is associated with satisfaction with the body appearance (60%) (p = 0.005), likewise a lower number of surgical cleanings imply dissatisfaction with the body appearance (64.2%) (p = 0.000). Conclusions: Resilience and body image are aspects that constantly change with the cures and procedures performed on burn patients.
