The objective of the research was to analyze the differences in income and education of individuals over 25 years of age with respect to their parents, San Jerónimo District - Cusco, year 2023. The research had a quantitative approach, with a non-experimental research design, a descriptive, correlational, and comparative scope; The research method was deductive. The survey technique was used, and the instrument applied was the questionnaire with a sample of 380 inhabitants through probabilistic sampling with a margin of error of 5%. The results obtained from this analysis provide a clear and significant perspective on intergenerational differences. Regarding income, a significant average difference was found in favor of children over 25 years of age, with a p value of 0.003. Regarding occupation and source of income, a statistically significant difference was observed between the respondents and their parents, both with a p value of 0.000, suggesting changes in work trajectories between generations. In the sector of economic activity, the comparison showed a significant difference (p=0.000), indicating an evolution in the types of employment between parents and children. In educational terms, it was evident that children reach higher educational levels than their parents, with a significance of 0.000, and significant differences were observed in professional titles, types of education and acquisition of additional specializations. The conclusion of this study highlights the existence of significant changes and a clear evolution in several key aspects between the generations of parents and children. These results not only demonstrate the dynamics of socioeconomic and educational change between generations, but also suggest continuous adaptation to new work and economic realities, marking trends of progress and transformation in society.
