Objective: Determine the relationship between eating disorders and body image in entrants to the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Andean University of Cusco, 2023. Method: The research "Relationship between Eating Disorders and Body Image in Entrants to the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Andean University of Cusco, 2023" is basic and correlational, with a non-experimental design. A quantitative approach involving the collection and analysis of numerical data was used to explore the relationship between eating disorders and body image in college students. Results: The results of the research reveal a positive and significant correlation between eating disorders and dissatisfaction with body image in college entrants (rho = 0.340). Furthermore, a similar correlation is observed between the pursuit of thinness and bulimia nervosa with body image dissatisfaction (rho = 0.403 and 0.388, respectively). However, no significant relationship was found between body dissatisfaction and the perception of body image (rho = -0.046) in this academic context. These results highlight the need to address eating disorders, especially the pursuit of thinness and bulimia nervosa, to promote student well-being. Conclusions: It is concluded that the research reveals a significant correlation between eating disorders, the search for thinness and bulimia nervosa with dissatisfaction in the body image of those entering the faculty, which suggests the importance of addressing these aspects. in promoting student well-being. However, no significant relationship was found between body dissatisfaction and the perception of body image in this academic context.
