The present study focuses on investigating the effect of titanium dioxide (TiO2) and Wirand FF3 steel fiber on the physical-mechanical properties (compression strength, flexural strength and absorption) and photocatalytic properties (degradation of organic dye rhodamine B and degradation of nitrogen dioxide gas (NO2)) that they provide to the samples of type II concrete pavers, added with [1,2,3,4] % of titanium dioxide with respect to the weight of cement, also added with steel fiber Wirand FF3 [6.3, 12.5, 18.8 and 25] kg/m3 with respect to the volume of the paver specimen according to the manufacturer's technical sheet. The design was represented in a dosage table showing the pattern and modified pavers, which will be compared later. The compressive strength according to the Peruvian Technical Standard (NTP 399.604) in the pavers modified with [1,2,3,4] % of TiO2 and [6.3, 12.5, 18.8 and 25] kg/m3 of Wirand FF3 on average increased at a value of 2.55% compared to the pattern pavers. The flexural strength, according to the Guatemalan Technical Standard (NTG 41087) of pavers modified with [1,2,3,4] % of TiO2 and [6.3, 12.5, 18.8 and 25] kg/m3 of Wirand FF3 on average is They increased by a value of 5.96% compared to the pattern pavers. Absorption in pavers according to (NTP 399,604), there is a decrease in the percentage of absorption for pavers modified with [1,2,3,4] % of TiO2 and [6.3, 12.5, 18.8 and 25] kg/m3 of Wirand FF3 on average 2.15% compared to standard pavers. The evaluation of the photocatalytic properties according to the Ente Italiano di Normazione standard (UNI 11259) determined the photodegradation factor R, for 4 hours and 24 hours. For this degradation test of organic dye rhodamine B, a violet dye called rhodamine B was used in the paving stone samples. After exposure to UV-A rays, the average photodegradation factor was obtained: R4=28.62% and R24=59.69%. in pavers modified with [1,2,3,4] % of TiO2 [6.3, 12.5, 18.8 and 25] kg/m3 of wirand FF3, compared to the standard pavers with values R4=10.80% and R24=16.29%. For the nitrogen dioxide NO2 degradation test, samples of concrete pavers added with [1,2,3,4]% of TiO2 and [6.3, 12.5, 18.8 and 25] kg/m3 of Wirand FF3 were subjected to this gas, then exposure to UV-A rays was carried out and subsequently determined the average photodegradation factor R4=24.90% and R24=53.62%, in this sense the increase in photodegradation factors was verified in comparison with the standard pavers with values R4=9.19% and R24=18.06%.
