The present research work has the objective of identify critical points of solid waste accumulation identified through remote sensing. The methodology employed included the acquisition of LANDSAT satellite images and their processing using ArcGIS 10.5 software for the identification of Critical Solid Waste Points. Google Earth was also used to determine the area of these critical points, followed by an analysis of the obtained data. The research results revealed the identification and analysis of a total of 69 critical points of solid waste in different areas of the San Sebastián district. These critical points had an average area of 9.08 𝑚 , with of 50.33%. Additionally, the 5 most detrimental of Critical Solid Waste Points were identified during the period from 2012 to 2022. In conclusion, this study demonstrates that remote sensing, through the analysis of satellite images and the application of processing techniques, emerges as an effective tool for the identification and analysis of critical points of solid waste accumulation of various types. This is achieved by combining LANDSAT 7 and 8 technologies, as well as the analysis of the persistence and area of these critical points at different time periods. 2
