The objective of this thesis is to analyze and propose improvements in vehicular traffic and road safety in urban road sections with high vehicular flow and insecurity, where it is essential for the circulation of users, as well as for an adequate and peaceful circulation of vehicles. In the first chapter the current situation of circulation and road safety in the Cemetery, Vinocanchon Market and Wholesale Market of Producers in the District of San Jeronimo, where there are many pedestrians and heavy vehicles of high tonnage, it is also evident that pedestrians are not the priority in the circulation and vehicles print speeds higher than those allowed, as well as explaining generalities of the thesis in which problems and objectives are established. In the second chapter a theoretical study is made, where we collect texts, concepts or descriptions of different authors to support us in them. The third chapter describes the methodology we used and defines the tools and procedures we developed for the data collection of our research. In the fourth chapter the information obtained in the previous chapter has been processed with the use of check sheets provided by the Road Safety Manual 2017, pedestrian and vehicular gauging, topographic survey; likewise, the results of the modeling of the section under study with the Vissim 2023 Student software are shown. The fifth chapter shows the improvement proposals for vehicular traffic and road safety by applying speed reducers and signaling measures to improve pedestrian and vehicular circulation. It concludes with the need to implement these measures to reduce speeds in the field and provide greater safety to vulnerable users in a more efficient manner.
