This thesis was focused on reducing electrical hazards present in the activities of Generation, Transmission and Distribution of electricity in the Cusco region, activity by the Electro Sur Este SAA, in order to prevent accidents through the implementation of the methodology of Behavior Based Safety (BBS). This involves understanding the history, principles, structure, methodology, theoretical, conceptual and techniques for the implementation of BBS focused on changing unsafe behaviors technical workers with exposure to electrical energy, keep making safe behavior over time. The BBS is a complement to Management System Safety and Health at Work based on an analysis of the behavior of workers, which can be observable, measurable, whose goal is to change unsafe behaviors workers, and maintain and increase safe behavior that is motivated workers to safety. As a result of this, it was possible to establish a plan of activities, which are presented in an orderly and detailed the activities to be undertaken for the successful implementation of BBS, besides obtaining early indicators and baseline to be considered reference in future research. The investigation came to the result of 82 % of behaviors Insurance and 18 % of unsafe behavior due to the factor “does not want“ , indicating that they must comply with an action plan to raise the indicator to 95 % of behaviors Insurance, proposed corporate goal.
