Objective: to identify the knowledge and practices in sexual and reproductive health in women deprived of liberty of the Cusco-Women Penitentiary Establishment. January-May 2020. Material and Method: quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional research was carried out in a population of 101 women deprived of liberty serving a sentence, to whom a questionnaire designed for the investigation was applied. For the processing and analysis of the data, the Microsoft Excel 2013 program was used. Results: The average age of women deprived of liberty is between 27 and 59 years old, 50% have a secondary education level, 39% are single and 38% correspond to women who are imprisoned between 1 and 3 years. 67% had their first menstruation between 12 to 15 years of age, 20% in the menopause stage, 56% of women who have been or are pregnant received 1 to 5 prenatal care, 80% do not use No contraceptive method, the Papanicolaou and VIA exam 64% were performed in 2019. With regard to knowledge in Sexual and Reproductive Health, 60% of women have a good knowledge. 11% of women are bisexual, 61% correspond to the age of initiation of sexual intercourse, which is between 12 to 18 years of age, where 20% was not with consent, 27% are between 1 and 3 sexual partners within the prison and the frequency with which they have sexual intercourse is monthly (45%), 65% of the women have not had a history of Sexually Transmitted Infections, 81% do not access the contraceptive methods provided the prison establishment. Conclusions: with regard to the most well-known penitentiary environment such as jails or prisons, they have very restricted access, therefore this makes it difficult to carry out studies with people deprived of liberty. There is a health personnel such as Doctor, Nurse and technical personnel, where there is a deficiency in promotion and prevention activities in sexual and reproductive health, it is necessary the presence of trained personnel (Obstetrician) for the development and control of said activities . It is evident that some sexual and reproductive rights are not fulfilled where all of them have to live their sexuality freely as a right that every human being has.
