In this research, the objective was to determine the relationship that exists between the development of critical thinking and beliefs about the origin of man and the universe in UAC students before and after the 2022-II semester, the methodology used in this research. . It was basic type, the level is descriptive-explanatory, the design is not transversal experimental, the population was made up of all students enrolled in the Philosophical Thought and Citizenship course of the UAC, in the 2022-II semester, The sample The selection consisted of 60 students, a non-probabilistic sampling method was used, the data collection techniques included surveys, documentary observation, interviews and qualitative analysis, the Watson and Glaser Test was applied as an evaluation instrument. The result was that the degree of relationship between the variables was 0.586, which would indicate that the relationship is moderate, a little strong and directly proportional. When comparing the levels of association before and after the 2022-I semester, it was observed a significant increase, going from 0.508 to 0.586. Finally, it was concluded that in the 2022-II semester, in particular the Philosophy course, accompanied by a crucial role in strengthening the relationship between the development of critical thinking and learning about the origin of man and the universe, these Findings highlight the importance of a good understanding of the origin of man and the universe, promoting critical thinking in students, and that the Philosophy course can play a fundamental role in the development of students' critical capacity.
