The present study was conducted at the IRD - Jauja facilities of the National Agrarian University La Molina (UNALM), located in the district of San Lorenzo, province of Jauja; which aimed to evaluate the agronomic characteristics and the nutritional value of seven forage crops in different phenological stages, under dry land, in the central highlands. The treatments that correspond to the group of oats were A. sativa var. "INIA 901 Mantaro 15", A. sativa promising line. "INIA Santa Ana", A. sativa promising line. "INIA 2000", A. sativa var. "Centenario" at the beginning of flowering, milky grains and pasty grains respectively, and for the group of vicia were V. sativa "Local", V. sativa promising line. "INIA" and V. atropurpurea at the beginning of flowering, complete flowering and complete pod formation respectively. As variables in the study were: Leaf area (cm2), leaf ratio: stem, plant height (m), stem diameter (mm), forage yield (kg MS / ha), crude protein (PC), neutral detergent fiber (NDF), total digestible nutrients (NDT) and net lactation energy (ENl). The completely randomized block design (DBCA) with factorial arrangement was used and to determine if there were significant differences between treatments, the Duncan test was used. The results obtained were outstanding for the oats, in the stage of beginning of flowering, for leaf area, leaf: stem and stem diameter ratio except in silver height that was given in pasty grain; For the group of vices, regarding the leaf: stem and plant height ratio, the best results were obtained at the beginning of flowering except plant height that occurred in full flowering. In the case of the best yields in oats, they were obtained in the milky and pasty grain stage, highlighting A. sativa "Centenario" (11346 kg MS / ha) in pasty grain, while for the vices above V. atropurpurea came out (10870kg MS / ha) at the full flowering stage. Regarding the PC and FDN content, the oats reached the highest PC content and lowest FDN content at the beginning of flowering stage, highlighting the A. sativa promising line. "INIA 2000" with 11.4% PC and A. sativa promising line. "INIA Santa Ana" with 60.4% of FDN; the same tendency took the group of the vices. The highest contents of NDT and ENl for the oats and vices, were in the stage of beginning of flowering obtaining the best results the A. sativa promissory line "INIA 2000" with 52.9% of NDT and 1.05% of ENl and V. sativa promising line "INIA" with 65.7% of NDT and 1.41% of ENl.
